  • How do I care for my resin products?
Jewelry: Please remove jewelry and barrettes before showering, swimming, sunbathing, bedtime and before applying lotions and perfumes. This will prevent tarnishing due to water exposure and natural body oils. Our jewelry is made with genuine metals including sterling silver, if you notice tarnishing occurs over time, tarnish may be removed with a microfiber cloth or light silver cleaning solution. Wood Products: Our resin based charcuterie boards are not a cutting surface unless specified. Cutting on them will result in damage to the board. Charcuterie and serving boards, rolling pins and bread bow knives may be cleaned with a mild soap and water. Handwash only - do not place them in the dishwasher. It is recommended to maintain naturally finished wood periodically with a good quality cutting board oil such as walrus, food grade mineral oil or beeswax. Resin Designs: Epoxy resin is sensitive to extreme temperatures and UV rays and will gradually yellow over time. Please keep your piece away from direct sunlight and heat to help slow down this process. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at sassandizzyllc@gmail.com.
  • What if my flowers die in transit?
When shipping your flowers, I recommend using the quickest shipping possible to prevent this in transit. If your flowers die in transit or become unusable I offer these options: (1) I can preserve and salvage what I can, with the understanding that flowers cannot be revived and my show signs of damage; (2) Replace or supplement original flowers with fresh florals from my local florist; (3) Discuss cancellation options for your order
  • Can you preserve my florals in a custom piece?
Yes! Please send me a message to check for schedule availability. Then I will ask you to purchase the items that you would like for me to create. Once your event has ended you will need to ship me your bouquet or schedule local drop off options. After receiving your flowers, I will dry them using a special process with desiccant, which helps preserve the color and shape of your flowers. This drying process takes about 4-6 weeks. Once your flowers are dry, I will work on a design and send you my best idea. The casting process will take an additional 4-10 weeks, depending on the scale and difficulty of your project. An average project can take about 3 months to complete. In the case of unforeseen circumstances or multiple piece projects, timelines may take longer. Please be flexible in this process. Re-designing, replacement florals and overall modifications may lengthen the timeline of your project.
  • Will my item be free from imperfections?
Everything I create is handmade and imperfections are to be expected, this includes microbubbles, surface flaws, small particles in the resin, flowers with imperfections and other small imperfections. Each piece is unique and fully handmade, by choosing me as your artist, you are paying me for the skill, time and love that it takes to create your design. There are several aspects are are outside of my control and we are not liable for: -how flowers are shipped/packaged, cost of shipping your flowers to me, how a carrier handles the package, how flowers survive in shipping, how flowers dry and are cast in resin and how quickly your piece yellows.
  • Will flowers look the same when they are dried?
We are working with organic items that were once living and therefore natural variations and color changes may occur, this is what makes floral pieces so unique. Flowers when preserved may change colors and become darker, discolor, brown, become translucent or have spots when dried or overtime. Sometimes translucent spots does not show until the resin is poured. These spots are areas when the flower has naturally broken down or been touched. -White flowers can become translucent -Brighter flowers such as oranges and pinks tend to stay really vibrant -Flowers that are thin tend to show translucent spots more easily where the flower has been touched or damaged such as tulips, lilies and orchids -Sturdier flowers such as carnations, hydrangeas and roses tend to hold their shape better when drying -Flowers that are pink and red may dry several shades darker -Dark florals become exponentially darker when dried -Some flowers just do not dry well and will brown, especially flowers with high moisture content such as succulents, anthurium, hypericum berries, hoyas and some tropical flowers We will do our best to work with any custom or special florals, however we cannot control how a flower will dry or react with resin.
  • Do you use real flowers?
Yes! Our floral designs are made with real dried flowers, botanicals and leaves. We use flowers directly from our garden, customer gifts and local bouquets. Each flower may vary slightly in size, shape and color - making each item unique!
  • What is your return policy?
All custom orders are non-refundable. Items that are ready to ship are returnable if the return is requested within 7 business days. The item must be in its original condition and buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. Please contact me if you have concerns about your item or if you experience damages due to shipping and we can work together to resolve any concerns.
